Fans at Tuesday's league contest between the Liberty Patriots (Lubbock, TX) and the host Big Spring Steers (Big Spring, TX), observed Liberty's volleyball team top Big Spring by a count of 3-0.

The Patriots (30-2) will now prepare for their contest against Estacado (Lubbock, TX). The Matadors enter the 4A Region I District 5 contest with a 6-14 record. In their last contest, Estacado notched a victory over Lake View (San Angelo, TX), 3-2, in a league contest.

Next, the Steers battle the Snyder Tigers (Snyder, TX) in a 4A Region I District 5 battle, on Saturday, September 20. Big Spring will attempt to improve on its 9-11 season record. The Tigers go into the battle with a 9-14 record after their 3-0 league win over Levelland (Levelland, TX).
