In Tuesday's league challenge, the visiting Eastland Mavericks volleyball team scored a close 3-2 triumph over the Breckenridge Buckaroos.

The Mavericks (9-12) will now prepare for their challenge against Tolar (Tolar, TX). The Rattlers come into the 3A Region I District 8 challenge with a 15-11 record. In their last challenge, Tolar nudged Millsap (Millsap, TX), 3-0, in a league test.

The Buckaroos now sport a 1-17 record. They put it on the line next when they host Early for a 3A Region I District 8 test on Thursday, September 18. Breckenridge will face a Longhorns squad coming off a 3-2 league loss to Comanche (Comanche, TX). The Longhorns record now stands at 11-4.
