Chassell Panthers (Chassell, MI) boosters were pleased Tuesday as they witnessed their volleyball team tip the host L'Anse Purple Hornets (L'Anse, MI), 3-2 in a league challenge.

The Panthers (7-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Ewen-Trout Creek (Ewen, MI). The Panthers come into the Freelance challenge with a 3-1 record.

Next, the Purple Hornets meet the Baraga Vikings (Baraga, MI) in a Copper Mountain challenge, on Wednesday, September 17. L'Anse will attempt to upgrade on its 4-9 season record. The Vikings come into the challenge with a 8-5 record after their 1-0 league loss to Chassell (Chassell, MI).
