Fans at Tuesday's league contest between the Churchill Lancers (Eugene, OR) and the visiting North Eugene Highlanders (Eugene, OR), observed Churchill's volleyball team hold off North Eugene by a count of 3-2.

The Lancers (4-3) will now prepare for their contest against Thurston (Springfield, OR). The Colts go into the 5A Midwestern battle with a 4-4 record. In their last battle, Thurston was edged by Crater (Central Point, OR), 3-2, in a league battle.

The Highlanders now own a 0-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Eagle Point for a 5A Midwestern battle on Thursday, September 18. North Eugene will encounter a Eagles squad coming off a 3-1 league loss to Thurston (Springfield, OR). The Eagles record now stands at 2-3.
