Fans at Tuesday's non-league contest between the DeSmet Bulldogs (DeSmet, SD) and the host Sioux Valley Cossacks (Volga, SD), observed DeSmet's volleyball team hold off Sioux Valley by a count of 3-2.

The Bulldogs (8-2) will now prepare for their contest against Elkton/Lake Benton (Elkton, SD). The Elks enter the non-league contest with a 4-7 record. In their last contest, Elkton/Lake Benton was edged by Chester (Chester, SD), 3-0, in a non-league battle.

The Cossacks now own a 6-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Milbank for a non-league battle on Tuesday, September 23.
