Fans at Tuesday's league contest between the Thurston Colts (Springfield, OR) and the visiting Eagle Point Eagles (Eagle Point, OR), observed Thurston's volleyball team top Eagle Point by a count of 3-1.
The Colts (4-3) will now prepare for their contest against Crater (Central Point, OR). The Comets go into the 5A Midwestern battle with a 4-1 record. In their last battle, Crater achieved victory over Ashland (Ashland, OR), 3-0, in a league battle.
The Eagles now own a 2-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to North Eugene for a 5A Midwestern battle on Thursday, September 18. Eagle Point will encounter a Highlanders squad coming off a 3-2 league loss to Churchill (Eugene, OR). The Highlanders record now stands at 0-5.
