With the win, Florence improves its record to 14-5 on the season. The Eagles host Provine (Jackson, MS) to encounter the Rams in a Class 5A Region 2 test on Thursday, September 18. The Rams go into the test with a record of 2-8. Provine lost 3-0 in their recent league test against Lanier (Jackson, MS)

The Jaguars now own a 0-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Vicksburg for a Class 5A Region 2 challenge on Thursday, September 18. Holmes County Central will meet a Gators team coming off a 3-1 league win over Cleveland Central (Cleveland, MS). The Gators record now stands at 11-3.
