Freedom Prep Academy Eagles (Provo, UT) boosters left the game pleased Tuesday as they witnessed their volleyball team overcome the host Merit Preparatory Academy Knights (Springville, UT), 3-0 in a league challenge.

The Eagles (6-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Vanguard Academy (West Valley City, UT). The Knights come into the 2A Region 16 outing with a 4-8 record. In their last outing, Vanguard Academy lost by Utah Military Academy - Camp Williams (Lehi, UT), 3-2, in a league outing.

With the loss, Merit Preparatory Academy drops to 0-7 on the campaign. The Knights travel to Salt Lake Academy (Herriman, UT) to play the Griffins in a 2A Region 16 game on Thursday, September 18. The Griffins go into the game with a record of 8-8. Salt Lake Academy won 3-0 in their recent league game against Rockwell (Eagle Mountain, UT)
