Michigan High School Volleyball - Fruitport Spring Lake

Fans at Tuesday's non-league contest between the Spring Lake Lakers (Spring Lake, MI) and the visiting Fruitport Trojans (Fruitport, MI), observed Spring Lake's volleyball team top Fruitport by a count of 3-1.

The Lakers (3-8) will now prepare for their contest against Western Michigan Christian (Muskegon, MI). The Warriors enter the non-league contest with a 5-7 record. In their last contest, Western Michigan Christian notched a victory over Shelby (Shelby, MI), 2-0, in a non-league contest.

Next, the Trojans battle the Hopkins Vikings (Hopkins, MI) in a Ottawa-Kent - Silver battle, on Thursday, September 18. Fruitport will attempt to improve on its 11-5 season record. The Vikings go into the battle with a 13-9 record after their 2-1 non-league loss to Reeths-Puffer (Muskegon, MI).
