Ohio High School Volleyball - Gallia Academy over Ironton

Fans at Tuesday's league contest between the Gallia Academy Blue Devils (Gallipolis, OH) and the visiting Ironton Fighting Tigers (Ironton, OH), observed Gallia Academy's volleyball team top Ironton by a count of 3-0.

The Blue Devils (12-0) will now prepare for their battle against Athens (The Plains, OH). The Bulldogs go into the non-league battle with a 11-3 record. In their last battle, Athens achieved victory over Meigs (Pomeroy, OH), 3-0, in a league battle.

The Fighting Tigers now own a 4-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Dawson-Bryant for a Ohio Valley battle on Tuesday, September 23. Ironton will encounter a Hornets squad coming off a 3-2 non-league loss to St. Joseph Central (Huntington, WV). The Hornets record now stands at 0-10.
