The Gaston Day Spartans volleyball team scored 3 points and restricted the visiting Hickory Grove Christian Lions to 0 in the Spartans league triumph on Tuesday.

The Spartans now possess a 9-1 record. They play next when they host Gaston Christian for a NCISAA Metrolina Athletic outing on Friday, September 19. Gaston Day will play a Eagles team coming off a 3-0 league win over Hickory Grove Christian (Charlotte, NC). The Eagles record now stands at 11-7.

With the loss, Hickory Grove Christian drops to 1-8 on the campaign. The Lions host Gaston Christian (Gastonia, NC) to confront the Eagles in a NCISAA Metrolina Athletic game on Thursday, September 18. The Eagles enter the game with a record of 10-7.
