The Newark Reds volleyball team (Newark, NY), was beaten 3-1 in Tuesday's league challenge with the host Geneva Panthers (Geneva, NY)

The Panthers (3-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Waterloo (Waterloo, NY). The Tigers enter the Section 5 Finger Lakes - East challenge with a 3-2 record. In their last challenge, Waterloo was beaten by Wayne (Ontario Center, NY), 3-2, in a league challenge.

Next, the Reds meet the Bloomfield Bombers (Bloomfield, NY) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, September 18. Newark will attempt to upgrade on its 0-3 season record. The Bombers go into the test with a 6-0 record after their 3-0 non-league win over Penn Yan Academy (Penn Yan, NY).
