Illinois High School Volleyball - Murphysboro Massac County

Massac County Patriots (Metropolis, IL) backers exited the stadium pleased Tuesday as they witnessed their volleyball team run past the host Murphysboro Red Devils (Murphysboro, IL), 2-0 in a league outing.

The Patriots now have a 13-4 record. They play next when they host Harrisburg for a Southern Illinois River-to-River Ohio game on Thursday, September 18. Massac County will face a Bulldogs squad coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Galatia (Galatia, IL). The Bulldogs record now stands at 8-12.

The Red Devils (6-5) will now prepare for their game against Herrin (Herrin, IL). The Tigers come into the Southern Illinois River-to-River Ohio outing with a 6-10 record. In their last outing, Herrin was topped by Carterville (Carterville, IL), 2-1, in a league outing.
