In Tuesday's league challenge, the visiting McBain Ramblers volleyball team scored a close 1-0 triumph over the Pine River Area Bucks.

The Ramblers (6-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Hastings (Hastings, MI). The Saxons come into the non-league challenge with a 8-9 record. In their last challenge, Hastings was nudged by Harper Creek (Battle Creek, MI), 3-0, in a league challenge.

Next, the Bucks meet the Northern Michigan Christian Comets (McBain, MI) in a Highland test, on Tuesday, September 23. Pine River Area will attempt to improve on its 6-5 season record. The Comets go into the test with a 8-6 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Muskegon Catholic Central (Muskegon, MI).
