In Tuesday's league challenge, the host Shafter Generals volleyball team scored a 3-0 triumph over the McFarland Cougars.

The Generals (22-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Delano (Delano, CA). The Tigers go into the South Sequoia test with a 10-8 record. In their last test, Delano went down by Chavez (Delano, CA), 3-1, in a league test.

The Cougars now sport a 1-20 record. They put it on the line next when they host Taft for a South Sequoia test on Thursday, September 18. McFarland will play a Wildcats team coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Highland (Bakersfield, CA). The Wildcats record now stands at 6-16.
