Texas High School Volleyball - Nixon over Rio Grande City

Fans at Tuesday's league contest between the Nixon Mustangs (Laredo, TX) and the host Rio Grande City Rattlers (Rio Grande City, TX), observed Nixon's volleyball team top Rio Grande City by a score of 3-1.

With the win, Nixon improves its record to 13-14 on the season. The Mustangs host Cigarroa (Laredo, TX) to encounter the Toros in a 5A Region IV District 30 battle on Saturday, September 20. The Toros go into the battle with a record of 12-8. Cigarroa lost 3-0 in their recent league battle against Mission Veterans Memorial (Mission, TX)

The Rattlers now own a 2-10 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Mission for a 5A Region IV District 30 battle on Saturday, September 20. Rio Grande City will encounter a Eagles squad coming off a 3-0 league loss to Palmview (La Joya, TX). The Eagles record now stands at 6-8.
