The Plains Cowboys were victorious over the visiting Wellman-Union Wildcats volleyball team by a margin of 3-0 in Tuesday's non-league outing.

The Cowboys now possess a 16-9 record. They play next when they host Abernathy for a 2A Region I District 2 outing on Saturday, September 20. Plains will play a Antelopes team coming off a 3-0 non-league win over Borden County (Gail, TX). The Antelopes record now stands at 5-6.

With the loss, Wellman-Union drops to 10-12 on the campaign. The Wildcats host Loop (Loop, TX) to play the Longhorns in a 1A Region I District 2 game on Tuesday, September 23. The Longhorns enter the game with a record of 0-8. Loop lost 3-0 in their recent non-league game against Post (Post, TX)
