The crowd at Tuesday's league battle between the St. Augustine Knights (Laredo, TX) and the host Providence Catholic Provets (San Antonio, TX), saw St. Augustine's volleyball squad notch a victory over Providence Catholic by a score of 3-1.

With the win, St. Augustine improves its record to 7-5 on the season. The Knights host St. Joseph Academy (Brownsville, TX) to encounter the Bloodhounds in a TAPPS 5A District 4 battle on Saturday, September 20. The Bloodhounds go into the battle with a record of 3-6. St. Joseph Academy lost 3-1 in their recent non-league battle against Veterans Memorial (Brownsville, TX)

The Provets now own a 1-12 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to John Paul II for a non-league contest on Wednesday, September 17. Providence Catholic will meet a Guardians team coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Cornerstone Christian (San Antonio, TX). The Guardians record now stands at 27-4.
