Fans at Tuesday's league contest between the Williston-Elko Blue Devils (Williston, SC) and the host Ridge Spring-Monetta Trojans (Monetta, SC), observed Williston-Elko's volleyball team hold off Ridge Spring-Monetta by a count of 3-2.

The Blue Devils (4-2) will now prepare for their contest against Calhoun County (St. Matthews, SC). The Saints go into the A Region 4 battle with a 2-5 record. In their last battle, Calhoun County tipped Blackville-Hilda (Blackville, SC), 3-1, in a league battle.

The Trojans now own a 1-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Wagener-Salley for a A Region 4 battle on Thursday, September 18. Ridge Spring-Monetta will meet a War Eagles team coming off a 3-1 league win over North (North, SC). The War Eagles record now stands at 5-7.
