De Smet Jesuit Spartans (St. Louis, MO) fans were pleased Saturday as they observed their soccer team knock off the visiting Vianney Golden Griffins (Kirkwood, MO), 4-1 in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Spartans confront the Gateway Legacy Christian Academy Lions (Florissant, MO) in a challenge, on Tuesday, September 20. De Smet Jesuit will attempt to better on its 3-1 season record.

The Golden Griffins now have a 5-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Mehlville for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, September 20. Vianney will confront a Panthers team coming off a 3-2 league loss to Northwest (Cedar Hill, MO). The Panthers record now stands at 1-4.
