Fatima Comets (Westphalia, MO) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Capital City Cavaliers (Jefferson City, MO), 13-5 in a non-league challenge.

The Comets now own a 12-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to New Bloomfield for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, September 20. Fatima will battle a Wildcats squad coming off a 6-3 non-league win over North Callaway (Kingdom City, MO). The Wildcats record now stands at 5-2.

With the loss, Capital City falls to 0-2 on the campaign. The Cavaliers host Eldon (Eldon, MO) to battle the Mustangs in a non-league challenge on Monday, September 19. The Mustangs enter the challenge with a record of 1-6. Eldon won 16-1 in their recent league challenge against Osage (Kaiser, MO)
