Arizona High School Volleyball - Blue Ridge tips Safford

The crowd at Saturday's non-league bout between the Blue Ridge Yellow Jackets (Lakeside, AZ) and the host Safford Bulldogs (Safford, AZ), saw Blue Ridge's volleyball squad nip Safford by a tally of 2-1.

With the win, Blue Ridge upgrades its record to 11-1 on the year. The Yellow Jackets travel to Mesquite (Gilbert, AZ) to play the Wildcats in a non-league bout on Saturday, September 17. The Wildcats go into the bout with a record of 3-4. Mesquite won 3-1 in their recent league bout against Seton Catholic (Chandler, AZ)

The Bulldogs now own a 5-3 record. They play next when they host Pima for a non-league bout on Monday, September 19. Safford will play a Roughriders squad coming off a 3-2 league loss to Tombstone (Tombstone, AZ). The Roughriders record now stands at 0-3.
