The Cookeville Cavaliers held off the host Lebanon Blue Devils volleyball team by a score of 2-1 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Cavaliers now have a 10-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Green Hill for a AAA District 7 test on Tuesday, September 20. Cookeville will confront a Hawks team coming off a 3-1 league win over Lebanon (Lebanon, TN). The Hawks record now stands at 18-3.
The Blue Devils (13-5) will now prepare for their test against Oakland (Murfreesboro, TN). The Patriots enter the non-league test with a 21-5 record. In their last test, Oakland was nudged by Harpeth Hall (Nashville, TN), 2-1, in a non-league test.
