The Oblong Panthers (Oblong, IL) volleyball nudged the visiting Martinsville Bluestreaks (Martinsville, IL), 2-1 in Saturday's non-league outing.

With the win, Oblong betters its record to 10-6 on the year. The Panthers travel to Red Hill (Bridgeport, IL) to play the Salukis in a non-league bout on Saturday, September 17. The Salukis go into the bout with a record of 0-8. Red Hill lost 2-0 in their recent league bout against Martinsville (Martinsville, IL)

The Bluestreaks now own a 4-16 record. They play next when they travel to Arcola for a non-league bout on Monday, September 19. Martinsville will play a Purple Riders squad coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Sullivan (Sullivan, IL). The Purple Riders record now stands at 1-5.
