South Dakota High School Volleyball - Mitchell tips Spearfish

September 17, 2022: Mitchell, SD 57301

Mitchell Kernels (Mitchell, SD) supporters left the game in high spirits Saturday as they observed their volleyball squad hold off the visiting Spearfish Spartans (Spearfish, SD), 3-2 in a non-league match.

Next up, the Kernels clash with the Douglas Patriots (Box Elder, SD) in a match, on Saturday, September 17. Mitchell will attempt to advance on its 5-6 season record. The Patriots come into the match with a 3-7 record after their 3-1 non-league loss to Rapid City Central (Rapid City, SD).

With the loss, Spearfish drops to 3-14 on the campaign. The Spartans travel to Sturgis Brown (Sturgis, SD) to clash with the Scoopers in a AA District 1 match on Tuesday, September 20. The Scoopers come into the match with a record of 2-10. Sturgis Brown lost 3-0 in their recent non-league match against Hill City (Hill City, SD)
