The Morse Tigers held off the host Monte Vista Monarchs volleyball team by a score of 2-1 in Saturday's non-league test.

The Tigers now have a 5-10 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Mission Bay for a City - City test on Tuesday, September 20. Morse will confront a Buccaneers team coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Mission Hills (San Marcos, CA). The Buccaneers record now stands at 10-9.

The Monarchs (1-10) will now prepare for their test against Mount Miguel (Spring Valley, CA). The Matadors enter the Grossmont Valley test with a 1-9 record. In their last test, Mount Miguel was nudged by Crawford (San Diego, CA), 3-0, in a non-league test.
