Fans at Tuesday's league contest between the Matoaca Warriors (Chesterfield, VA) and the host Petersburg Crimson Wave (Petersburg, VA), observed Matoaca's volleyball team top Petersburg by a tally of 3-0.

The Warriors (2-3) will now prepare for their contest against Prince George (Prince George, VA). The Royals enter the Central contest with a 3-4 record. In their last contest, Prince George beat Meadowbrook (Richmond, VA), 3-0, in a league contest.

Next, the Crimson Wave meet the Dinwiddie Generals (Dinwiddie, VA) in a Central contest, on Thursday, September 19. Petersburg will attempt to upgrade on its 2-2 season record. The Generals enter the contest with a 0-6 record after their 3-0 non-league loss to Monacan (Richmond, VA).
