California High School Flag Football - Franklin can't hold off Pleasant Grove

September 17, 2024: Elk Grove, CA 95624

Pleasant Grove Eagles (Elk Grove, CA) fans went home in high spirits Tuesday as they saw their flag football team tip the visiting Franklin Wildcats (Elk Grove, CA), 18-13 in a league battle.

With the win, Pleasant Grove improves its record to 7-2 on the season. The Eagles travel to Monterey Trail (Elk Grove, CA) to play the Mustangs in a Delta League battle on Tuesday, September 24. The Mustangs go into the battle with a record of 2-2. Monterey Trail won 20-14 in their recent league battle against Laguna Creek (Elk Grove, CA)

The Wildcats now have a 2-3 record. They play next when they travel to Cosumnes Oaks for a Delta League battle on Thursday, September 19. Franklin will play a Wolfpack team coming off a 24-18 league win over Sheldon (Sacramento, CA). The Wolfpack record now stands at 5-2.

The Pleasant Grove (Elk Grove, CA) varsity flag football team won Tuesday's home conference game against Franklin (Elk Grove, CA) by a score of 18-13.
