Fans at Tuesday's non-league battle between the Midland Trail Patriots (Hico, WV) and the visiting Bluefield Beavers (Bluefield, WV), saw Midland Trail's soccer squad hold off Bluefield by a score of 2-1.
The Patriots (2-6) will now prepare for their battle against PikeView (Princeton, WV). The Panthers enter the non-league battle with a 0-6 record. In their last battle, PikeView Princeton (Princeton, WV), 1-1, in a non-league battle.
Next up, the Beavers confront the James Monroe Mavericks (Lindside, WV) in a Coalfield AA battle, on Thursday, September 19. Bluefield will attempt to improve on its 2-3 season record. The Mavericks enter the battle with a 2-4 record after their 7-0 league loss to Shady Spring (Shady Spring, WV).
