In Tuesday's non-league challenge, the host Appomattox County Raiders volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Gretna Hawks.
The Raiders (6-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Altavista (Altavista, VA). The Colonels come into the non-league challenge with a 2-5 record. In their last challenge, Altavista lost by William Campbell (Naruna, VA), 2-1, in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Hawks play the Dan River Wildcats (Ringgold, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, September 19. Gretna will attempt to upgrade on its 0-4 season record. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a 1-4 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Tunstall (Dry Fork, VA).
