In Tuesday's non-league challenge, the host Patrick County Cougars volleyball team scored a close 2-1 victory over the Floyd County Buffaloes.
The Cougars (7-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Alleghany (Covington, VA). The Cougars enter the non-league challenge with a 9-2 record. In their last challenge, Alleghany got by Radford (Radford, VA), 2-0, in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Buffaloes meet the Carroll County Cavaliers (Hillsville, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, September 19. Floyd County will attempt to upgrade on its 3-5 season record.
