Fans at Tuesday's league battle between the Shamokin Area Indians (Coal Township, PA) and the visiting Southern Columbia Area Tigers (Catawissa, PA), saw Shamokin Area's soccer squad hold off Southern Columbia Area by a count of 1-0.

The Indians (3-5) will now prepare for their battle against Montoursville (Montoursville, PA). The Warriors enter the PIAA District IV-AA battle with a 6-2 record. In their last battle, Montoursville was edged by Central Columbia (Bloomsburg, PA), 2-1, in a league battle.

Next up, the Tigers confront the Bloomsburg Panthers (Bloomsburg, PA) in a PIAA District IV-A battle, on Thursday, September 19. Southern Columbia Area will attempt to upgrade on its 2-5 season record. The Panthers enter the battle with a 3-5 record after their 0-0 league Hughesville (Hughesville, PA).
