Aquinas Monarchs (David City, NE) backers left the game pleased Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nudge the host Lakeview Vikings (Columbus, NE), 5-1 in a non-league game.

With the triumph, Aquinas upgrades its record to 9-10 on the year. The Monarchs travel to Pierce (Pierce, NE) to play the Bluejays in a C District game on Thursday, September 19. The Bluejays enter the game with a record of 4-12. Pierce lost 13-1 in their recent league game against Wayne (Wayne, NE)

The Vikings now own a 4-10 record. They play next when they host Fort Calhoun for a non-league game on Saturday, September 21. Lakeview will play a Pioneers squad coming off a 12-0 non-league win over Cass (Louisville, NE). The Pioneers record now stands at 10-3.
