The crowd at Tuesday's league bout between the Cherokee Bluff Bears (Flowery Branch, GA) and the visiting Jefferson Dragons (Jefferson, GA), observed Cherokee Bluff's softball team get by Jefferson by a tally of 5-3.

The Bears (14-5) will now prepare for their bout against Monroe Area (Monroe, GA). The Purple Hurricanes go into the 3A Region 8 bout with a 14-7 record. In their last bout, Monroe Area tipped West Hall (Oakwood, GA), 9-1, in a league bout.

In their next game, the Dragons battle the Barrow Arts and Sciences Academy (Winder, GA) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, September 18. Jefferson will attempt to advance on its 10-9 season record. The go into the bout with a 3-7 record after their 13-0 league loss to Banks County (Homer, GA).
