The Fair Play Hornets softball team scored 11 runs and held the visiting Hermitage Hornets to 1 in the Hornets non-league win on Tuesday.

The Hornets now possess a 4-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Halfway for a Class 1 District 3 battle on Thursday, September 19. Fair Play will confront a Cardinals team coming off a 5-4 league win over Walnut Grove (Walnut Grove, MO). The Cardinals record now stands at 8-4.

With the loss, Hermitage moves to 1-7 on the season. The Hornets travel to Macks Creek (Macks Creek, MO) to confront the Pirates in a non-league battle on Friday, September 20. The Pirates come into the battle with a record of 2-4. Macks Creek lost 6-1 in their recent non-league battle against Wheatland (Wheatland, MO)
