The Halfway Cardinals softball team scored 5 runs and held the host Walnut Grove Tigers to 4 in the Cardinals league win on Tuesday.

The Cardinals now possess a 8-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Fair Play for a Class 1 District 3 battle on Thursday, September 19. Halfway will confront a Hornets team coming off a 11-1 non-league win over Hermitage (Hermitage, MO). The Hornets record now stands at 4-5.

With the loss, Walnut Grove moves to 4-7 on the season. The Tigers host Dadeville (Dadeville, MO) to confront the Bearcats in a Class 1 District 3 battle on Thursday, September 19. The Bearcats come into the battle with a record of 5-5. Dadeville lost 14-2 in their recent non-league battle against New Covenant Academy (Springfield, MO)
