The Newcastle Racers got by the visiting Harrah Panthers softball squad by a count of 6-5 in Tuesday's league challenge.

Next, the Racers meet the Classen SAS Comets (Oklahoma City, OK) in a 4A District 4 challenge, on Thursday, September 19. Newcastle will attempt to upgrade on its 15-10 season record. The Comets go into the challenge with a 4-16 record after their 10-5 non-league win over Grant (Oklahoma City, OK).

The Panthers (6-14) will now prepare for their challenge against Marlow (Marlow, OK). The Outlaws go into the non-league challenge with a 9-19 record. In their last challenge, Marlow was nudged by Cache (Cache, OK), 4-2, in a non-league challenge.
