Virginia High School Volleyball - Gretna over Appomattox County

Fans at Tuesday's league contest between the Gretna Hawks (Gretna, VA) and the host Appomattox County Raiders (Appomattox, VA), observed Gretna's volleyball team top Appomattox County by a count of 3-0.

The Hawks (6-0) will now prepare for their contest against Dan River (Ringgold, VA). The Wildcats enter the Dogwood contest with a 1-4 record. In their last contest, Dan River was knocked off by Tunstall (Dry Fork, VA), 3-0, in a non-league contest.

Next, the Raiders meet the Altavista Colonels (Altavista, VA) in a Dogwood contest, on Thursday, September 19. Appomattox County will attempt to move on its 4-1 season record. The Colonels enter the contest with a 5-2 record after their 3-0 league win over William Campbell (Naruna, VA).
