The Purvis Tornadoes prevailed the host Columbia Wildcats volleyball squad by a final score of 3-0 in Tuesday's league game.
Next up, the Tornadoes confront the Sumrall Bobcats (Sumrall, MS) in a Class 4A Region 7 game, on Thursday, September 19. Purvis will attempt to advance on its 17-7 season record. The Bobcats enter the game with a 10-1 record after their 3-0 league win over Forrest County Agricultural (Brooklyn, MS).
The Wildcats (4-12) will now prepare for their game against Tylertown (Tylertown, MS). The Chiefs enter the non-league game with a 1-18 record.
