Illinois High School Volleyball - Massac County tips Murphysboro

September 17, 2024: Metropolis, IL 62960

Fans at Tuesday's league contest between the Massac County Patriots (Metropolis, IL) and the visiting Murphysboro Red Devils (Murphysboro, IL), observed Massac County's volleyball team hold off Murphysboro by a tally of 2-1.

The Patriots (12-4) will now prepare for their contest against Harrisburg (Harrisburg, IL). The Bulldogs enter the Southern Illinois River-to-River Ohio contest with a 5-9 record.

Next, the Red Devils meet the Herrin Tigers (Herrin, IL) in a Southern Illinois River-to-River Ohio contest, on Thursday, September 19. Murphysboro will attempt to upgrade on its 5-3 season record. The Tigers enter the contest with a 7-7 record after their 2-1 league win over Carterville (Carterville, IL).
