With the win, West Texas improves its record to 16-7 on the season. The Comanches host Tulia (Tulia, TX) to face the Hornets in a non-league test on Saturday, September 21. The Hornets go into the test with a record of 10-11. Tulia won 3-2 in their recent non-league test against Fort Elliott (Briscoe, TX)

The Wildcats now own a 15-11 record. They play next when they host Highland Park for a non-league bout on Saturday, September 28. River Road will clash with a Hornets team coming off a 3-1 non-league loss to Idalou (Idalou, TX). The Hornets record now stands at 6-9.
