With the triumph, Sayre advances its record to 8-2 on the campaign. The Spartans host Martin County (Inez, KY) to clash with the Cardinals in a non-league test on Friday, September 19. The Cardinals come into the test with a record of 10-0.

The Cardinals now have a 2-9 record. They play next when they travel to Walton-Verona for a non-league outing on Monday, September 22. Scott County will play a Bearcats squad coming off a 7-0 non-league loss to Bethlehem (Bardstown, KY). The Bearcats record now stands at 7-4.
