Fans at Wednesday's non-league contest between the Mount Greylock Regional Mounties (Williamstown, MA) and the visiting Taconic Thunder (Pittsfield, MA), observed Mount Greylock Regional's volleyball team hold off Taconic by a tally of 2-1.

The Mounties (4-1) will now prepare for their contest against Ludlow (Ludlow, MA). The Lions enter the non-league contest with a 2-0 record. In their last contest, Ludlow tipped West Springfield (West Springfield, MA), 3-0, in a non-league test.

The Thunder now own a 3-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Baystate Academy for a non-league test on Friday, September 19. Taconic will encounter a squad coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Agawam (Agawam, MA). The record now stands at 1-3.
