The Coopersville Broncos soccer squad scored 5 points and held the visiting Sparta Spartans to 0 in the Broncos non-league victory on Wednesday.
The Broncos now possess a 6-3 record. They play next when they travel to Lakeview for a non-league bout on Saturday, September 20. Coopersville will play a Spartans squad coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to Lakeshore (Stevensville, MI). The Spartans record now stands at 6-5.
With the loss, Sparta moves to 1-10 on the year. The Spartans host Newaygo (Newaygo, MI) to play the Lions in a non-league bout on Friday, September 19. The Lions go into the bout with a record of 5-5.
