The Johnson County Trojans softball team scored 6 runs and held the host Swainsboro Tigers to 4 in the Trojans non-league triumph on Wednesday.
Next, the Trojans play the Wilkinson County Warriors (Irwinton, GA) in a 1A D-II Region 5 challenge, on Thursday, September 18. Johnson County will attempt to upgrade on its 9-7 season record. The Warriors enter the challenge with a 0-7 record after their 21-0 league loss to Glascock County (Gibson, GA).
The Tigers (10-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Washington County (Sandersville, GA). The Golden Hawks enter the non-league challenge with a 14-8 record. In their last challenge, Washington County edged Dublin (Dublin, GA), 1-0, in a league challenge.
