In Wednesday's league test, the Lutheran Lions (Parker, CO) softball team nipped the visiting Lewis-Palmer Rangers (Monument, CO), by a margin of 8-7.

The Lions now sport a 11-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Cheyenne Mountain for a 4A Pikes Peak outing on Friday, September 19. Lutheran will encounter a Red-Tailed Hawks team coming off a 10-9 league win over Air Academy (US Air Force Academy, CO). The Red-Tailed Hawks record now stands at 10-1.

With the loss, Lewis-Palmer drops to 2-13 on the campaign. The Rangers host Discovery Canyon (Colorado Springs, CO) to face the Thunder in a 4A Pikes Peak contest on Monday, September 22. The Thunder enter the contest with a record of 5-9. Discovery Canyon won 9-1 in their recent non-league contest against La Junta (La Junta, CO)
