Toombs County Bulldogs (Lyons, GA) supporters left the game pleased Wednesday as they witnessed their softball team tip the host Metter Tigers (Metter, GA), 9-5 in a non-league match.

The Bulldogs (9-6) will now prepare for their match against Emanuel County Institute (Twin City, GA). The Bulldogs come into the non-league match with a 17-2 record. In their last match, Emanuel County Institute nipped Screven County (Sylvania, GA), 9-1, in a league match.

In their next game, the Tigers battle the McIntosh County Academy Buccaneers (Darien, GA) in a 1A D-II Region 3 game, on Thursday, September 18. Metter will attempt to upgrade on its 10-6 season record. The Buccaneers enter the game with a 8-15 record after their 15-7 non-league loss to Liberty County (Hinesville, GA).
