Greenfield Green Wave (Greenfield, MA) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they observed their volleyball team hold off the visiting Mahar Regional Senators (Orange, MA), 3-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Green Wave (6-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Pioneer Valley Regional (Northfield, MA). The Panthers enter the non-league test with a 2-3 record. In their last test, Pioneer Valley Regional was edged by Turners Falls (Montague, MA), 3-0, in a non-league test.

The Senators now sport a 3-2 record. They play next when they travel to Mohawk Trail Regional for a non-league challenge on Friday, September 19. Mahar Regional will play a Warriors team coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to Franklin County Tech (Turners Falls, MA). The Warriors record now stands at 0-5.
