Fans at Wednesday's league contest between the Paul VI Panthers (Chantilly, VA) and the visiting St. John's Cadets (Washington, DC), observed Paul VI's volleyball team top St. John's by a count of 3-1.

The Panthers (7-0) will now prepare for their contest against The Academy of the Holy Cross (Kensington, MD). The Tartans enter the Washington Catholic contest with a 10-0 record. In their last contest, The Academy of the Holy Cross notched a victory over St. Mary's Ryken (Leonardtown, MD), 3-0, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Cadets encounter the St. Mary's Ryken Knights (Leonardtown, MD) in a Washington Catholic battle, on Friday, September 19. St. John's will attempt to improve on its 7-4 season record. The Knights go into the battle with a 2-1 record after their 3-0 league loss to The Academy of the Holy Cross (Kensington, MD).
