Manheim Central Barons (Manheim, PA) fans were pleased Monday as they observed their soccer team hold off the visiting Garden Spot Spartans (New Holland, PA), 1-0 in a league challenge.

Next, the Barons confront the Solanco Golden Mules (Quarryville, PA) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, September 20. Manheim Central will attempt to better on its 3-2 season record. The Golden Mules enter the challenge with a 5-3 record after their 2-1 non-league win over Ephrata (Ephrata, PA).

The Spartans now have a 2-8 record. They take the field next when they host Elizabethtown for a Lancaster-Lebanon 2 challenge on Thursday, September 21.
